Nassau County, encompassed by world-class healthcare

The 62 bed Baptist Medical Center Nassau is a highly advanced, extremely well-equipped community hospital on Amelia Island, serving Nassau County and its surrounding areas.  The hospital provides a full spectrum of in and outpatient services and 24 hour emergency care.  The medical staff includes highly trained physicians in 26 different specialties.  Baptist Medical Center Nassau has invested over $120 million, more than their original commitment of $20M in necessary upgrades and improvements.  Upgrades included a $24 million Betty and David Berman Building for Patient Care, Cardiac Rehab Center, facility improvements and most recently, $22.5 million for a new 30,000sf surgery/procedural center.  Baptist Nassau is fully integrated within a five hospital system, Baptist Health, and is committed to delivering safe and quality care and providing the most optimal patient and family experience.

Nassau County residents have available to them the Mayo Clinic Florida, St. Vincent's Healthcare, Memorial Hospital and the University of Florida (UF) Health at Jacksonville.  UF Health is the region’s premier academic health center, a hub for clinical research and the area's only Level I trauma center offering the most effective, efficient trauma transport and critical care treatment available today.  The Baptist Health System includes Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Heart Hospital, the area’s only freestanding hospital for heart and vascular care.  Baptist Health is the only system in North Florida to be recognized as a Magnet designated hospital.

The NCEDB exists because of the generous support of the Nassau County Board of Commissioners, our local municipalities and economic development partners.
